MOCAP LIVE
This was a third year university motion capture project where my team and I created a real-time scene using motion capture data within Unreal Engine.
We were initially tasked to create a short story using motion capture data in AUT's MOTION CAPTURE LAB that would play out in real time through UNREAL ENGINE whilst using a handheld virtual camera
This was pre-planned through mood boards and animatics as well as a pre-made UNREAL ENGINE scene and rigged character to attach the motion capture data.
for this project, I worked with Zoe Chen, Tamir Reznik, Khashmira Vallabh, Darlene Hassencamp and Thomas Rangihuna. My contribution to this project was:
- Scene modelling and design
- Scene lighting
- Scene simulation
- Scene trap triggers
- Camera work
- Co-director for the scenes
